Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Assistance on arrival at International airport and transfer to your hotel.
Relax..Overnight at hotel.
Since, most international flights into Delhi land between late evening/midnight
and early morning, the touring activities are scheduled only from the following
day.
Day 02: Delhi
After a leisurely breakfast embark on a sightseeing tour of Old Delhi including
the Red fort and the Jama masjid, post lunch tour of New Delhi to include Qutab
Minar, India Gate, Humayun's tomb and the Lakshmi Narayan temple.
Overnight at hotel in Delhi.
Day 03: Delhi-Mandawa
After breakfast drive to Mandawa (an old castle in Rajasthan). Post lunch session
includes a small visit of Mandawa to appreciate the painted Havelis on the ancient
and the famous silk route.
Day 04: Mandawa-Bikaner
Leave for Bikaner and arrive by lunch. After lunch make a tour of Junagarh Fort
and its fabulous palaces.
Day 05: Bikaner-Jaisalmer
Morning take an excursion tour to Deshnok Temple situated in semi desert village
at a distance of 30 kms, this place is famous for Karnimata Temple where you
will see thousands of rats roaming freely in the temple complex and are held
sacred. If one sees white rat in the temple complex, than it is believed to
be very lucky. Later proceed to Jaisalmer, arrive and check into hotel.
Day
06: Jaisalmer
Morning take a sight seeing tour of Jaisalmer visiting The Golden Fort of
99 Bastions, Manek Chowk, Patwon Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Haveli (the old
Mansions with lattice work done on the walls). After lunch drive to Sam Sand
Dunes. En route visit Bada Bagh to see the royal cenotaphs, ancient Jain Temple
Lodurwa and proceed to Sam Sand Dunes, arrive Kanoi 3kms before Sam
Sand Dunes and transfer on camels, enjoy camel ride till sunset over the dunes
and drive back to Jaisalmer for overnight .
Day 07: Jaisalmer-Jodhpur
After breakfast drive to Jodhpur en route visit Osian; an ancient town in
the Thar Desert. On arrival at Jodhpur check into hotel.
Later visit Mehrangarh Fort, Jaswant Thada and Umaid Bhawan Palace.
Day 08: Jodhpur-Mount Abu
Morning drive to only hill station of Rajasthan Mount Abu. Arrive Mount Abu
and check into hotel. Rest of the evening at leisure.
Day 09: Mount Abu-Ranakpur-Udaipur
Morning checkout and drive to Udaipur, en route visit the 12th Century Temples
of Ranakpur.
Ranakpur: The cluster of temples, made of intricately sculpted white marble,
came across as a marvelous feat of architecture. It would take anyone by surprise
to learn that they were built in 1460, so well preserved & sparkling is
the marble. The main temple is supported on 1,444 pillars - none of which
is similarly carved.
Proceed to Udaipur, on arrival transfer to hotel. Evening is free to relax.
Day 10: Udaipur
Udaipur :"The Venice of the East", Udaipur is an enchanting city.
From lakes in the midst of sandy terrain to green forested hills where wildlife
still abounds, the surprises are endless. And, in the lakes, or by their edges,
are palaces straight out of fairy tales, each more beautiful than the other.
Founded by Maharana Udai Singh, Udaipur is surrounded by the Aravalli mountain
ranges situated on the edge of three lakes.
Sightseeing tour of Udaipur visiting City Palace Complex visit Durbar Hall,
Crystal Gallery, Palace Museum and Jagdish Temple. City Palace is considered
as the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Later visit Saheliyon Ki Bari
that is a small ornamental garden built in the honour of Royal Ladies for
recreational purpose.
Overnight at Udaipur.
Day 11: Udaipur-Pushkar
After breakfast drive to Pushkar. Evening at leisure.
Day
12: Pushkar-Jaipur
Morning visit to Brahma Temple and Pushkar Lake. Later drive to Jaipur. Rest
of the day at leisure.
The evening is free to stroll in local markets or Johri Bazaar.
Jaipur: The fabled pink city of the desert named after Jai Singh,
the former Maharajah of Jaipur.
Day 13: Jaipur
After breakfast proceed for excursion to Amber Fort with the Elephant
ride to ascent the fort.
Afternoon visit the City Palace, the royal residence of the Maharajah of Jaipur
and later visit the Observatory dating back to the 18th century and also visit
the Palace of winds (Hawa Mahal).
Day 14: Jaipur-Agra
Morning drive to Agra (The city of Taj Mahal) en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri.
Fatehpur Sikri - The Red Sandstone City, Emperor Akbar built as his capital
and palace in the late 16th century. Also visit the Bulund Darwaza, the largest
gateway in the world.
Continue your drive to Agra and on arrival check into hotel.
Day 15: Agra-Delhi-Chennai
Early morning visit to Taj Mahal by Sunrise.
After breakfast visit to Agra fort and Itmad-Ud-Daula.
Later drive to Delhi airport visiting Sikandra en route. Fly Delhi to Chennai
by evening flight.
On arrival at Chennai, transfer to hotel. Overnight at Chennai
Day 16: Chennai
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Chennai ( also called " the
gateway of South India") Covering Fort St. George, St. Mary's Church, Drive
along Marina Beach (the second longest in the world), San Thom Cathedral, Kapaleeswara
temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and museum.
Later drive to Mahabalipuram (Also known as Mamallapuram).
On arrival at Mahabalipuram, check into hotel.
Day
17: Mahabalipuram
Full day tour of Kanchipuram and Mahabalipuram.
Kanchipuram, the city of 1000 temples. It is considered as the second holiest
city in India next to Varanasi. Visit Vaikuntaperumal temple, Ekambareeswarar
and Varadarajar temple. Kanchipuram is famous for its exquisite silk sarees.
Mahabalipuram, the only surviving shore temple. It boasts of some of India's
most sublime rock cut art comprising of Arjuna's Penance - the largest open-air
bass-relief, Five Rathas, structured temples, man-made caves and chariots.Overnight
at Mahabalipuram.
Day 18: Mahabalipuram-Pondicherry
After breakfast drive to Pondicherry.
Pondicherry, once a French settlement and now home to the Aurobindo Ashram -
It spiritual tenets represent a synthesis of yoga and modern science and Auroville
or the City of Dawn, an international settlement where community living is the
focus of life. The sphere shaped Matri Mandir a hall of meditation is the splendid
centre of Auroville. Visit Pondicherry Museum, which has an outstanding collection
of artifacts. The sculpture gallery is a treasure house of Pallava and Chola
art. Evening Relax at the beach, which runs along the city. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 19: Pondicherry-Tanjore
After breakfast drive to Tanjore ( Also Known as Thanjavur ) en route visiting
Nataraj Temple at Chindabaram , dedicated to dancing Lord Shiva , a famous Hindu
deity of Chola kings and Gangaikonda Cholapuram. On arrival at Tanjore check
into hotel.
Day 20: Tanjore-Trichy
After breakfast visit the Brihadeshwara temple a masterpiece in itself made
in 1000 AD by the Cholas. You can also visit Tanjore art gallery and Saraswati
Mahal library. Later drive to Trichy (known as Tiruchirapalli ). On arrival
at Trichy check into hotel.
Day 21: Trichy-Madurai
Trichy was the citadel of the Chola dynasty in the medieval period. In the 18th
century it witnessed the Carnatic wars fought between the French and the English.
Lord Robert Clive's house is still there to see and so is the Danish Church.
The Rock-Fort is the landmark of Trichy. A climb of 434 steps leads to the ancient
temple of Ganapati on top and a further climb to a Shiva temple to visit Srirangam
temple and Rock fort temple.
Later drive to Madurai. On arrival at Madurai check into hotel. Evening visit
Shree Meenakshi temple to witness glorious evening ceremony

22: Madurai-Periyar
Morning visit the world famous Meenakshi Sundereshwara temple, a huge Dravidian
temple complex. After lunch depart for Periyar wild life sanctuary. Arrive Periyar
in the evening and check inn hotel.
Day 23: Periyar-Allepey (Houseboat)
Morning boat cruise on the lake to get a closer look at the wild elephants.
Later drive to reach the small beautiful town of Allepey situated on the backwaters
of Kerala. Embark on houseboat to sail thru the famous Kerala Backwaters and
its several canals..passing through lush green landscape and some villages along
the backwater channels. Overnight on board
Day 24: Allepey-Cochin
Morning cruise on backwaters. Later after disembarking from houseboat, drive
to Cochin. Arrive Cochin and visit the Chinese fishing nets in the backwaters
of Cochin. Overnight at boat.
Day 25: Cochin
Cochin: Sea Boat Ride To Visit Various Islands And Churches, Santa cruz Basilica,
Mattancherry Palace, Jewish synagogue, Dutch palace, St. Franchis. Overnight
at boat. Evening visit the Kathkali Dance Show for a live performance of famous
classical dance from Kerala.
Day 26: Cochin- Ooty
Morning drive to the queen of hill stations, Ooty known for its salubrious climate
and scenic beauty. Arrive Ooty by lunch and rest of the day is at leisure.
Day
27: Ooty-Mysore
Morning depart for Mysore (wonderful historic town and evidence city to exhibit
the oldest Indian richest economy). Arrive by lunch and shortly after lunch
visit the Mysore Palace, once the capital seat of power of the ruling Wodeyars.
Also visit the Brindavan Garden, Chamundeshwri temple, Tipus summer palace.
Day 28: Mysore-Hassan
Morning drive to Hassan visiting Sravanbelagola en route dedicated to lord Gomateshwar,
one of the tirthankars of Jainism. Later in the afternoon visit Belur, the superbly
preserved Chennkesava Temple here is a tribute to the skill and genius of the
medieval craftsman. Also visit Halebid temple 10 km from Belur, a riot of carvings
left incomplete after 80 years of labour.
Day 29: Hassan-Bangalore-Mumbai
Morning drive to Bangalore airport visiting Somnathpur en route to catch flight
to Mumbai. Arrive Mumbai in the evening and transfer to your hotel.
Day 30: Mumbai-Onward Journey
On time transfer to airport for flight back home.
